Parent Teacher conferences will be held Wednesday, November 6th
and Thursday, November 7th. We look forward to meeting with
you.
This year for all elementary schools, Canyons School District
moved to a Standards-Based Mastery grading system. At your
parent teacher conference, this new report card will be given to
you. To reach mastery status on the report card the student
must demonstrate that they understand the concept and can apply
it over a few trials. The mastery status on the report card is to
be obtained by the end of the school year. There is detailed
information concerning the standards based report card on the
district website. You will receive a letter from our curriculum
department explaining more of what to expect and the reason
behind the change. Please let me know if you have any questions.
On November 12th, our School Community Council (SCC) has been
asked to host a meeting to address hiring the new Superintendent
for Canyons School District. The meeting will be held at 6pm.
Our SCC and PTA presidents will represent the voice of the
Granite Community. If you would like to attend as an observer or
share your thoughts with one of our members please feel free to
contact any of them.
Thank you for all your support as we have adjusted our drop off
and pick up procedure. Please remember to enter the school from
the south drop off and pick up lanes only. Please do not enter
through the exit only lane or the bus lane. Our goal is to keep
our students and patrons safe. Thanks again for your cooperation.

Dates to remember:
