Dear Granite Families,
Welcome back from fall break! Did you know that as a school, we have a goal of 95% average daily attendance? That means, we hope for 95% of our students to be at Granite each day. As a celebration for reaching our goal, we’ll have a 10-minute school-wide dance party after 25 days of 95% attendance! We are hoping to reach our first 25th day very soon, we are at 19 days so far!.
Please continue to keep students home for fevers, persistent coughs, or other serious illnesses, and prioritize regular attendance as much as possible. Check out our calendar in the office to see our progress.
Halloween Costumes
As you plan for your costumes and events at Granite Elementary on Tuesday, October 31, please keep in mind:
- Students may NOT bring facsimiles of weapons as part of their costumes.
- Students may wear masks during the parade, then masks will need to be stored in backpacks for the rest of the day.
- Families will gather on the north grass or west blacktop to watch the parade.
Halloween Parade
Our parade will start at 9:20am on Halloween. Parents will need to view the parade from the playground on the north and west side of the school. You can go directly to the viewing area and do not need to check in at the office.
Students will exit the school from the 5th grade doors shortly after 9:20, follow the parade route, and enter the school at the kindergarten doors.
Parents attending the 2nd grade program, will need to enter the school through the office doors at 9:45. Thank you for supporting our Halloween activities.
Ribbon Week
- Monday: Blue Ribbon Bullying Awareness – Wear blue or Granite shirt 💙
- Tuesday: Green Ribbon Mental Health Awareness – Wear Green 💚
- Wednesday: Red Ribbon Drug Prevention Day – Crazy hair, socks, clothes, etc. ❤️
- Thursday: Halloween 🎃
- Friday: White Ribbon Internet Safety Awareness – Pajama Day 🐻
