Dear Granite Families,
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education. As we strive for excellence, I want to share that our goal is to achieve 95% attendance each day. Unfortunately, we have not yet met this goal for November. We are just 3 days away from earning a school-wide 10-minute dance party! We need everyone’s help to make it happen.
With many students getting sick, I kindly ask you to review and practice safe hand washing routines at home. Your students’ attendance is crucial for their success and our school community.
STEAM Friday Activities
Our incredible STEM Teacher, Mrs. Gardner, started STEAM Squad today for our 4th and 5th graders! This is an after school program occurring on Friday afternoons for 8 sessions.
You may remember that Mrs. Gardner also hosts Makerspace during lunch recesses! Students can opt to spend their 20 minute lunch recess exploring and solving problems! We are so excited to see so many students getting excited about STEAM and Mrs. Gardner’s enrichment programs.
Seeking Donations
We have not announced this to students yet, so please help us keep the surprise. In January, Granite is opening a game room! Kids will have different opportunities to earn time in the game room for supporting school and class goals. More details about the game room will be coming soon, but for now, we are seeking donations of air hockey table, foosball table, and a double dunk game. If anyone has these gathering dust in their basement, and would be willing to donate them to Granite, please call our office.

- Wednesday Nov. 20 – Education Support Professionals (ESP) Day! Help us give some love to our instructional aides, nutrition workers, office assistants, paraeducators, and all the amazing people that keep our school running!
- Thursday, Nov. 21 – Reflections Awards 3:15 – Doors open at 3:00 for parents of winning students. Ruki Packer will be contacting you if you child won an award so you can attend.
- Friday Nov. 22 – STEAM Squad (after school for enrolled students)
