Dear Granite Families,
Thank you so much for coming to parent-teacher conferences! It is important to teachers and students when families take the time to connect, ask questions, and talk about progress. Working together truly makes a difference for kids.
We also appreciate your support of our PTA Book Fair. Our PTA uses those proceeds to purchase books and school supplies for Granite. Thank you for showing up and supporting our school in so many ways.

Chess Club Starting

Starting Tuesday, March 3rd, Jacob Jensen will start a new round of Chess Club! Grizzlies in all grades are welcome. Students in K-1 please bring an adult. You can join even if it’s your first time.
Chess club will be every Tuesday, from 8:-00-9:00am in the STEM room, beginning March 3rd. Please our office with questions.

Is This Yours?

We had a cute toddler scooter and Paw Patrol helmet left on our playground last weekend. If it’s yours, please check in with our office to claim it asap. It will be donated Tuesday if not collected. Thank you!

PTA Information

Dear Granite Elementary Parents,
The countdown has begun for this year’s Read-A-Thon! Our theme is “Reading Can Take You Out of This World!”
Our PTA sponsored Read-A-Thon (March 2-27th) is designed to encourage a love of reading while building community and working toward a fun, schoolwide goal.
Here is how it works:• Every minute your child reads turns into “Cosmic Cash.”• Weekly students can use their Cosmic Cash to shop in our Read-A-Thon Store.• Weekly two top readers from each grade will receive a special prize, certificate, intercom shout out and have their photo featured on our Top Readers Board.
Be sure to ask your student about the rocket ship displayed in the cafeteria. As students log their reading minutes, they will watch it zoom from goal to goal.If we meet our top goal, the entire school will celebrate with a Glow Party!
All reading counts! Every minute fuels our rocket!Look out for the Read-A-Thon packet and log sheets coming home next week with more information.
