Our Granite Speech Team did a fantastic job at the Canyons District Speech and Debate Tournament. They had to write their own Expository (Informative) or Oratory (Persuasive) speech, memorize it and then bravely stand up and deliver in front of judges. Two of our EEC 5th graders even joined in the contest! There was even a funny moment when two of our Granite students tied for first place and had to “paper-rock-scissors” to see who would get the trophy with the 1st place label. They were all nervous, but excited and committed. We are so proud of them!
