Families, the CSD Board has been studying the ways that technology is accessed in schools and identifying ways to increase student safety online. Our School Community Council will be discussing the technology issues and proposals that the Board is seeking feedback on during our next meeting on April 14th. As a result of this inquiry and a recent Board meeting, teachers are no longer allowing students to use Chromebooks during student free time. |
Congratulations to Olivia Roberts! She won an honorable mention in the University of Utah’s Health Science and Biomedical Engineering Science Fair with her project from our Granite science fair! Way to go Olivia! |
We hope everyone enjoys a safe spring break that fulfills your family needs, whether that be relaxation, adventure, exploration, or connection. Please remember there is no school April 7-11. |

Read-a-thon Update What an incredible month of read-a-thon we have had! In total, our Granite Grizzlies have read close on 286,000 reading minutes in 4 short weeks! Our winning team was team Black Bear. Team Black Bear read over 99,000 minutes over the course of the month. They were followed closely by team Panda Bear which finished in second place only 1,335 minutes behind. Team Polar Bear came in third place, however they still put up a good fight! Today marked the conclusion of the month-long read-a-thon, with a glow party for the winning bear team and also for our top readers from each grade, each week. Students had so much fun dancing, having their faces painted with glow paint and running around in the gym for the party. What a fun way to end this amazing month and celebrate our dedicated readers. The PTA would like to thank all of our incredible parent volunteers who helped us make this read-a-thon a success. We truly couldn’t have done it without your help. We can’t wait for next year! |
