Dear Granite Families, Thank you so much to all of our families who attended Wellness Night! We had so much fun tasting different fruits & veggies, decorating sleep masks, analyzing photos to determine what was real and what was AI, and learning about mental and physical health resources. Teacher Appreciation Week from PTA – Granite teachers are just PLANE awesome, Celebrate teacher and staff appreciation week with us next week as we take the teachers on a trip around the world visiting Paris, Amsterdam, Mexico and Hawaii. Please check your students folders for more information. Encourage your student to join in each day with fun activities they can do to honor their teachers.Parking Lot – As we end the year, and after school activities become more common, please remember to follow our parking lot and drop-off/pick-up procedures. We have had reports of students nearly being hit by cars due to speeding, driving through the crosswalk while people are crossing, and pulling into the through lane without looking. Please be patient and model safety for our students as we conclude our year. Thank you Communication Boards! – In our continued effort to promote inclusion, we have made “Core Boards” or communication boards to post on our playground. Our incredible Speech Pathologist, Ms. Palmer, has made a video for students to teach them how to use the core board, by pointing to the words they’re saying, to communicate with our non-verbal classmates.
