Grizzly Growl: September 11, 2026

Dear Granite Families,
What a fun day at Granite! Our Fun Run was amazing, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make it such a success. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers for giving your time and energy, and a huge thank-you to our PTA for organizing such an exciting event for our students. We appreciate all the support you continue to show our Grizzlies!
Thank you also for supporting our PTA fundraiser! As of just a few minutes ago, we are only $1,075 away from our $25,000 goal! We have until midnight tonight to reach our goal, so there’s still time to help us get there. Thank you for helping make such a difference for our students and school!
As always, thank you for supporting our wonderful school community. Please reach out anytime with questions or feedback.
Warmly,
Elcena Saline

MakerSpace Coming Soon! 🤖👾📐

Our incredible STEM teacher, Mrs. Gardner, will resume MakerSpace next Friday. During lunch recesses, students can opt to go to the STEM room and explore technology and engineer designs. It is so cool to see what our creative students construct.

Spirit Night @ Classic Skating

Join us on Tuesday evening at Classic Skating for our first Sprint Night of the year! See the flyer below.

Read, Talk, Wonder, Solve!

📖 Stories about the work people do can help children build vocabulary, background knowledge, and an understanding of how people contribute to their families and communities. Talking about jobs and everyday work also gives children opportunities to ask questions, make connections, and explain their thinking. This conversation can also be connected to the anniversary of 9/11 and Constitution Day next week.
💬While talking with your child this Labor Day weekend, ask:“What is a job that helps our family or community? What would happen if nobody did that job?”Take the conversation deeper:What skills does that person need? What might be difficult about that job?How does their work help other people feel?Which do you think would be hardest to replace?
