Update: We had two of our students win at the Canyons District Science Fair! Matt Coop and Beckett Ruplinger will be advancing to the University of Utah Science and Engineering Fair. We are excited for them!
We enjoyed an amazing Granite Elementary Science Fair on January 24th!
The students have learned so much about the scientific method and came up with some very interesting questions to test. It was fun to see the hypothesis, experiment results and conclusions for each project. The quality of the work was high, and it was very difficult for the judges to determine the finalists.
We are allowed to send two projects on to the Canyons District Fair, and those projects are:
ELECTROLYTE EXPLOSION
Gabby Beal
Quinn Greenwell
Ivy Wallace
WHICH DIAPER BRAND IS THE MOST ABSORBENT?
Max Harris
THE SALTY ELECTRONS
Matt Coop
Beckett Ruplinger
WHICH BRAND OF WATER BOTTLE STAYS THE COLDEST?
Soren Stewart
Lexi Frye
Congratulations, and best of luck at the district fair!
We are proud of each one of our students who showed up with a science project to share. It is a hands-on way to learn about how science is done and to grow as a young “scientist”. This is how people change the world.
Thank you to all of the parents who gave support, time and materials to help make the projects possible.
