Chair Report: Attend SCC district meeting to review SCC standards and protocols.

Principal:

Covid Dashboard-The district has a current dashboard that all community members can access. Making sure we were aware of this dashboard

SCC application – New applicants as of 8/13: Stacey Noble, Sarah Wilkens, and Richard Wilkens, new application window closes on Wednesday

SecondStep process and opt out form -The pause was lifted on the audit for Second Steps for K-8 schools. An opt out option will be made possible -communication will either from the district level or Ronnie.

SCC training dates -Tomorrow is the last dates of training available

By Laws – the district is auditing and will provide some guidance for compliance and updating what needs to be a part of the by laws -Waiting on the review and approval from district because we believe there will be some changes before we approve these.

Landtrust/TSSP budget and goals for 2020-2021 -Reviewed goals. We are still trying to hire an assistant for the TSSA position. If we can’t fill this position then we will be looking to extend teacher tutoring after school hours. Money set aside for aid needs to be used to help with reading either through an aid or potential teacher tutoring.

School Plans – Safety, Digital Citizenship, PBIS (Positive Behavior Support) These are the plans that SCC is in charge of. PBIS includes: family nights, bear paws, trip to the principal, second steps, newsletter, healthy lifestyle environment, student council, etc. Liz Felt, 2nd grade teacher, is our digital representative.

Safety – Lockdown drill -will happen in October. The September Fire drill has not taken place yet, but will happen in September.

Reviewed our reading inventory data by looking at graphs. Reading scores have dropped a bit in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. We will get a better picture of our scores as they are finishing up testing this next week and we will review the scores in October.

Landtrust budget and goals update: 80% of students in Kindergarten-3rd grade will make at least typical progress according to Acadience Pathways to Progress. 80% of students in 4th and 5th grade will be at proficient or higher in Reading Inventory (RI) by the end of the year. 84% of students are reaching benchmark according to Acadience math assessment. Our goal is to maintain and/or increase 1-2% proficiency.
