The council reviewed public notice requirements and confirmed that posting the agenda online and providing notice one week in advance satisfies the requirements. Bylaws will be reviewed and updated if needed following SCC training.

  • Review last year’s LAND Trust plan, whether goals were met, how money was spent.
  • Review current year’s plans: LAND Trust, TSSP

Student Achievement & Goals

Mrs. Saline reviewed TSSA and Land Trust goals and discussed lessons learned from the previous year. Math goals were largely met. The attendance goal was not met, but 70% of chronically absent students improved to the at-risk category.

Budget & Instructional Support

The Land Trust allocation was approximately $45,195, with TSSA at approximately $81,360. Funds will support two reading aides, additional resource teacher hours, professional development, attendance incentives, positive behavior supplies, and a book vending machine.

The school is expanding its push-in support model, with resource teachers and aides supporting students directly in classrooms, including additional reading support for grades 4–5.

Literacy & Senate Bill 241

The council discussed new requirements for Individualized Reading Plans (IRPs) for students performing below grade level. The legislation also includes future retention requirements, including mandatory retention for certain third-grade students beginning in 2030. Concerns were discussed regarding multilingual learners and students with IEPs.

Information about IRPs and Senate Bill 241 will be shared with families through the Grizzly Growl and other school communications.
