US News Utah’s Top Ranked Elementary School Badge

Grizzly Growl: September 5, 2025

Dear Granite Families,

We’re off to a great start this school year! This week we’re excited to kick off our annual PTA fundraiser, a wonderful opportunity for families to support our school and students. We’re also celebrating strong attendance—our students have been here and ready to learn, with 11 days of 93% attendance so far! Our students celebrated with open seating at lunch yesterday! Thank you for helping us build such positive momentum.

As always, thank you for supporting our wonderful school community. Please reach out anytime with questions or feedback.

Warmly,
Elcena Saline

Annual PTA Fundraiser Is On!

Dear families and friends of Granite Elementary School,

It is time for our yearly PTA fundraiser! The fundraiser will go from September 4 to September 11 at midnight. In order to provide some new enriching programs for both students and teachers, we are hoping to raise the same amount of money as last year, even though we have decreased in student body. With that goal in mind, the recommended donation amount would be $100 per student. We think our students are going to be very excited about this year‘s theme inspired by K-pop Demon hunters!

To help students (and parents) see our progress, we’ve set up a fundraising thermometer in the

lunchroom. As donations come in the thermometer will rise UP! UP! UP! and each time we hit a

milestone, students will unlock new rewards and surprises. Follow our Instagram for daily updates

and insights @GranitePTA

Please share with your family members!

Last year, we were able to raise $26,000. Here’s where the money went:

1.Teacher classroom fund (so teachers could buy needed classroom supplies without having it

come out of their own pocket)

2.Teacher educational training seminars

3.Teacher appreciation, meals during Parent Teacher Conferences, and Teacher breakfast before

start of school year

4.School Field Trip

5.Field day

6.Fun Run

7.Books and Bagels during Parent Teacher Conference week

8.Read-A-Thon and reading vending machine

9.School wide service project

10.Mrs. Fitch Science class

11.Reflections contest

12.Book Blitz

…And more!!

Every donation received is appreciated, and every donation helps our school community thrive!

THANK YOU!!!
