Biz Town

In October, the fifth graders went to Biz Town in Discovery Gateway. The students had been planning and preparing for this field trip for over a month. 5th grade students are able to interact within a simulated economy and take on the challenge of fueling a business. Students not only discover the intricacies of being a professional and a member of a community, but also discover an abundance of opportunities available within their city. The students were CEO, CFO, and essential workers for such companies as: Maverick, KSL/Deseret News, Zions Bank, and Merit Medical, to name a few. This is a favorite field trip among students, teachers, and parents.
