Granite was fortunate to win a visit from the University of Utah’s quarterback, Cam Rising. CR England in conjunction with the U of U, hosted a food drive in September for the Utah Food Bank. We are so proud of the Granite families for donating more than 1,800 pounds of food. We were one of the three top schools that donated the most pounds of food in one week which won us a visit from the quarterback.
Each grade met individually with Cam. He answered questions chosen by each grade. “What age did you start playing football?” “Who inspired you to play?” “What has been your favorite game” and other questions from our littlest grizzlies that stumped him the most. For example, “What’s your favorite color of leaf? “What your favorite game to play” “Do you like eagles or bald eagles better?” Whatever the question, Cam was gracious, and those in attendance were able to learn a lot about this talented player.
