It made me so happy to see so many Grizzly students back in the building this evening for Back to School Night! It is such a privilege to watch your students grow up and learn new things over the years. Please join me in giving a warm welcome to 20+ new students that are joining us this year! Granite is an extraordinary school and we are happy to have all of you.

*Please note that we follow the Friday bell schedule on Thurs., Sept. 25 and Thurs., Feb. 26 for parent teacher conferences.
Red Carpet Procedure
On Monday we’ll have our red carpet out to welcome our 1st – 5th graders back to school! All students will line up at their grade level doors and then walk with their teacher to the front of the school for red carpet. We may even have some players from RSL or the Monarchs here to greet our Grizzlies!!
Parents who’d like to watch the red carpet can line up along the sidewalk by our bus lines or on the yellow line near the flag pole in front of the building.
On Wednesday, when we greet our kindergarteners, parents can line up behind the short wall near the kindergarten doors to wave goodbye and cheer for your students as they enter.
Attendance
Regular school attendance is essential to student success. Please prioritize regular school attendance and call our office if you have questions about when kids are too sick for school. We have a goal of having 93% of our students present each day!

School Community Council
School Community Councils are comprised of elected parents and/or guardians whose children attend the school, elected employee representatives, and the school principal. As directed by state law, School Community Councils (SCC) review achievement data, help identify academic needs, provide input on school improvement plans (TSSP), and assist in evaluating the success of the plans. In addition, SCCs assist with the development and review of the School Safety Plan, the Digital Citizenship Plan, and Positive Behaviors Plan. SCCs also review and may offer input to the school electronic devices plan, safe walking routes plan and the school attendance plan.
