US News Utah’s Top Ranked Elementary School Badge

Grizzly Growl: November 14, 2025

Dear Granite Families,
A highlight of our week was our wonderful Veterans Day program. Our students did an incredible job honoring and celebrating the service and sacrifice of our veterans. It was inspiring to see our school community come together to show gratitude and respect for those who have served our country.
As always, thank you for supporting our wonderful school community. Please reach out anytime with questions or feedback.
Warmly,
Elcena Saline

Boundary Proposal Update

A new proposal was presented at the School Board meeting Tuesday evening. In the new proposal, Granite would potentially consolidate with Quail Hollow in the Quail Hollow building in 2027-2028. EEC would stay with the Granite community and the feeder pattern from Granite –> Albion –> Brighton would be preserved.
New public hearing information will be announced in the coming weeks. More information on the boundary study can be found on the Board’s meeting site. or click on the picture below to see the Board presentation.

School Feedback Surveys

Each November, parents receive a 9-question survey asking you for feedback aboutt Granite. Please look for an email from donotreply@canyonsdistrict.org and complete the survey with your feedback. We are always looking for ways to improve our systems and outcomes. Your input in these processes is very valuable.

Open Enrollment Starting Tomorrow

Please be sure to look for information from CSD about open enrollment. Open enrollment starts at 10am. No permits will be accepted until February, but at that time, they will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to students who have experienced boundary changes (not applicable for Granite students next year). Permits can be submitted at permits.canyonsdistrict.org

November Safety Drill

November’s safety drill is a bomb threat drill. All teachers have a note-taking card in case a bomb threat comes to their classrooms. During our drill this week we practiced our evacuation procedures. More information about our safety drills can be found here: https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/safe-schools/.
