Grizzly Growl Oct. 28 Dear Grizzly Families,What a fun week we’ve had seeing all of you here in the building for conferences and the book fair! Thank you for making the time to come to support our school events and all of our students and teachers. Your support for our school and PTA were also incredible. The final amount of dollars raised during the fundraiser was $28,702!Upcoming Substitute Principal – You may have heard the news that I am expecting a baby girl very soon. Starting on October 24, Principal Kathy Anderson will be taking over the administration of Granite while I am on maternity leave through the end of 2023. As we approach her start-date, I will share her contact information. I am very confident that she will be a fabulous leader of our school in my absence.SALTA (Gifted & Talented Education) – Time is running out to apply to test into Canyons School District’s SALTA magnet program for the 2024-2025 school year. Students in kindergarten through the seventh grade can apply online through midnight on Friday, Oct. 6. No late applications will be accepted. SALTA — Supporting Advanced Learners Toward Achievement — serves students who demonstrate significantly high cognitive and academic abilities in comparison to peers. Due to the time-intensive and rigorous nature of the process for determining a student’s fit for the program, parents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the testing requirements well before completing an application.
