In second grade during our writing block, we reviewed our recess rules. The students brainstormed rules and then discussed why they are important. Each student chose six rules that they thought were the most important and created a brochure. The brochure could be used to tell a new student how to behave on the playground. The students did a great job of communicating the rules using pictures and complete sentences. Thanks to the playground rules, we get to have fun at recess!
