Granite Elementary’s 3rd graders recently completed an engaging “Multiplication Boot Camp” week. During this time, students learned various multiplication strategies, including:
- Creating visual arrays
- Solving problems through repeated addition
- Representing groups and sets
To reinforce these concepts, students also participated in physical activities like jumping jacks, sit-ups, and burpees while skip counting. Additionally, they picked up mental math tricks to solve multiplication problems efficiently.
This hands-on boot camp has boosted the students’ confidence in math and helped them develop a deeper, conceptual understanding of multiplication. Parents can be proud of their children’s hard work and accomplishments during this fun and educational week.
