SCC Business

  • Approve change to TSSA plan to pay benefits for Playworks/Behavior Specialist
    • Revise TSSA budget to allocate $15,000 for benefits for Playworks/Behavior Specialist FT position, one year contract
    • Wonders and LETRS professional development- $4-5,000
    • Will purchase Reflex for those that need it, and Flocabulary- $2000
    • Kim W. moved to approve, Michelle S. second
    • Discussion on morning meetings, grade levels are coordinating topics, greetings, What does GRRR look like
  • SCC applications open until 8/26
    • Elections Sept 1-2, if needed
  • Calendar of meetings for the year- last year we did the 2nd Mondays
    • Meetings will be 2nd Monday all year long- Kim W. motioned to approve, Matt B. second
  • SCC Training- dates provided to the SCC members
  • Back to School Night- August 23rd 6pm- we’ll introduce the SCC members
    • Future Family Nights- STEAM night in January, Playworks Night in spring

TSSA/Landtrust Goals: 1) 80% of students in Kindergarten-3rd grade will make at least typical progress according to Acadience Pathways to Progress. 80% of students in 4th and 5th grade will be at proficient or higher in Reading Inventory (RI) by the end of the year. 2) 84% of students are reaching benchmark according to Acadience math assessment. Our goal is to maintain and/or increase 1-2% proficiency. 3) Students will identify the qualities needed to have positive social interactions with peers and persevere through difficult tasks.
