TOY – Nominations are due to Mrs. Mulqueen by March 5th.  You can find the nomination form on www.canyonsdistrict.org

            Covid rules
Quarantine guidelines – New Covid guidelines to quarantine students.  “Tracing” will take place when masks are not worn between the students for more than 15 minutes.  The only time we have this situation is during lunch.  If a student tests positive we will trace and quarantine those that sit by them at lunch.  A notice will be sent home for those that sit by the student in the classroom but they are not required to quarantine.

Remain vigilant – The Granite community will receive a vigilance letter due to the number of positive cases in our school.  This letter just reminds our community of best practices to help with the spread of Covid.  Please note, there has been minimal school exposure and NO school spread.

Cold weather guidelines – If the temperature is below 22 “real feel” the students will be let inside at 8:45am.  If there is a blizzard, pouring rain, or extreme wind the students will also come in.

Landtrust goals and budget – We had a discussion about the Landtrust goals.  We are waiting on the testing to report on the Pathways to Progress for this year.  The final report for 2019-2020 is due in March. This progress will look different as we did not have our final assessment due to the Covid closure.

Accreditation – Canyons district is asking all school to complete the accreditation process.  This process will look at multiple component of the district/school organization to evaluate effectiveness and room for growth.  This accreditation has begun and will take at least a year to complete.  The SCC may be asked for input in the future.  Again, as a district, we are looking at our systems and resources to evaluate effectiveness, equity, equality, and areas for adjustment.  Ronnie will share information throughout the year and keep the SCC in the loop.

SNAP – Katie, Michelle, and Jenny will come sign the plan.  Ronnie will reach out to the district and see if we can adjust the one section on the map where there are no sidewalks.

No supplemental Kindergarten at Granite – Granite does not have supplemental Kindergarten.  We will maintain our two sessions.

Learning Option Window is open from February 7-14.  The change will take place on March 8th.  You only need to complete this process is you ARE changing your option.  If you want to maintain as you are you DO NOT need to do anything.
