  • Finalize Land Trust and TSSA Plans (vote and sign)

Final copies of Reading, Math, and Climate goals handed out to all members. Presented by Mrs. Saline

ELA:

80% of kindergarten will meet or exceed benchmark on NWF-Correct Letter Sounds

Currently 60% are meeting benchmarks in kindergarten.

85% of first graders will meet or exceed benchmark on NWF-Whole Words Read

Currently 75% are meeting benchmarks in 1st grade

80% of 2nd/3rd graders will make typical or greater growth on Acadience Pathways to Progress

85% of students in 4th/5th grade will be proficient or higher on Reading Inventory and each grade will increase the number at advanced level by 5%.

$43,000 for Tier II teachers’ salary

$7,000 for subs for teachers to plan ELA together

MATH:

87% of students in each grade level will score proficient or advanced on Acadience Math Assessment.

$8,000 for software

$30,000 for aides for teachers with large class sizes

$10,000 for general math supplies/manipulatives

Apply for STEM grant for ST Math

Teachers have the opportunity for professional development for Basic Fact Fluency kits.

CLIMATE:

By May 2024, less than 15% of students will be experiencing moderate or high risk internalizing behaviors by spring SRSS-IE.

By May 2024, less than 10% of students will be experiencing moderate or high risk externalizing behaviors by spring SRSS-IE.

We will continue Morning Meetings.

We will implement weekly Thrive Time to teach and promote wellness skills.

We will provide for up to 8 hours for teachers before contract time to plan for the upcoming year. $11,000

MTSS Behavior Assistant to full time employment- $10,000 to supplement district pay for full time

Stipends for Student Connection Team-$300 stipend for teachers= $1,800

$3200 for general supplies

  • Homework Feedback Request

            Mrs. Saline has had negative feedback about homework.

            Reasons/objectives for homework should be transparent to parents.

            Is nightly homework worth visiting with parents? Get feedback from families.

            Taking recess and Brain Boosters away from students for incomplete or make-up work??

            What is the weekly expectation for homework? Communication and consistency.

TSSA/Landtrust Goals: 1) 80% of students in Kindergarten-3rd grade will make at least typical progress according to Acadience Pathways to Progress. 80% of students in 4th and 5th grade will be at proficient or higher in Reading Inventory (RI) by the end of the year. 2) 84% of students are reaching benchmark according to Acadience math assessment. Our goal is to maintain and/or increase 1-2% proficiency. 3) Students will identify the qualities needed to have positive social interactions with peers and persevere through difficult tasks.
